Network Testers
Network analyzers are instruments used to analyze the properties of electrical networks, especially those properties associated with reflection and transmission of electrical signals known as s-parameters. Network analyzers are commonly used to analyze computer networks, or at least with the complexity of computer networks the need for quality network analyzers have grow. One of the more popular network analyzer companies is Fluke Meters. Network Analyzers are used mostly at high frequencies; a typical unit can make measurements from a few hundred kilohertz up to several gigahertz. VNAs are the most common type of Network Analyzer. References to a 'network analyzer' most often mean a VNA since an SNA is functionally identical to a spectrum analyzer in combination with a tracking generator.
However, many of the professional network analyzers today can cost alot of money. There are alternatives to these expensive meters which do not perform all of the same functionality but will meet certain needs for smaller scale networks. Computer Cable Inc.
